Portland Maternity Photographer
Lorena’s three sisters actually hired me to be her maternity photographer as a gift, which is just so sweet! It was a pretty cold day when we met up for her photo session just north of Portland. Her sisters all came along to the session to give her encouragement, tell her how beautiful she looked, and fix her dress when it needed adjustments. Having three sisters myself, I really enjoyed their dynamic.
When we got to the location, the sun was just barely peeking out of the clouds, and then it quickly disappeared. Now, I love the sun but there’s also something special about a half cloudy sky. It gives even light on faces, but the sky behind is still clear. I loved the light this day, so I can’t complain about the sun taking a nap. Plus, it made the session look even more wintery!
“You give such good vibes and I can’t wait to see the rest!!! We love our sister and are waiting anxiously to meet our niece.” -Lorena’s sister when she saw her sneak peek

Looking for your own Portland Maternity Photographer?
The best time to book maternity photos is between 28-34 weeks, give or take a week. If you book too early, you may not be showing enough yet, but if you wait too long, you may be uncomfortable. It will differ for everyone so if you’re showing early, you can definitely book closer to 28 weeks, but if it’s taking a while for you to pop, schedule your maternity session a little bit later. If you’re looking for some tips on what to wear, I wrote a blog post all about what to wear to your maternity session. And when you’re ready to book, you can check my prices, schedule your session right from my website, or contact me if you have questions first!
