Portland Maternity Photo Session

I first met this family last fall when they booked a photo session that ended up being indoors because of the weather. Well here they are again, but this time we did a maternity session and we finally got to do that Portland outdoor photo session they had originally wanted! I’m so excited for them and the little baby boy that they will get to hold soon. And I’m sure their older son is going to make a fantastic brother.

This family is so happy, playful, and full of love for each other. We had so much fun playing and laughing during the session, which I’m sure you can tell from the photos. Smiles all around.

Another thing that is completely obvious is how much Kayla and Chris love each other. They were best friends as kids and then Kayla moved away for 10 years. When she finally moved back, they reconnected and have been together ever since! How sweet is that?

Kayla borrowed this dress from my client closet, which I purchased from Coven & Co and it’s such a gorgeous wrap dress. I just love lace because the texture photographs so well, and Kayla looks amazing in it!

There’s almost always some dancing during my photo sessions. I put on some music on my phone and just let the family go!

When dads can just take a second to love on their kids and look completely content, my heart melts. I just love this one.
