Fun Family Photographer for Expressive and Silly Families
Families get to play, laugh, and have a fun adventure during their photo sessions with me, but I will also catch the sweet, softer, in-between moments that you always wished someone was able to capture. This way, you can look back a year later and remember how your son looked when he was missing his two front teeth, or the admiration in your daughter’s eyes when she looks at you.
Where to get family photos taken near Portland, Oregon
Outdoor family photo adventure sessions take place in one of my carefully selected locations around the greater Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington areas. Once you book your date, I will be sending you a location guide with my favorite spots around the area. Each has been selected because of the available light, landscape, and interactive elements (water, rocks to climb on, logs to sit on, etc.). Because just going to the park down the road will not produce the kind of wild and adventurous final product that we are trying to achieve. So be prepared to drive a little to get to the perfect location, if needed.
What if we want a bigger adventure?
I also offer adventure family photo sessions in the Columbia River Gorge or on the Oregon Coast. Click each of those to find out more about them. What should we wear for family photos?
Once your family photos are booked, you’ll be getting an email with directions on how to use my styling tool. It will give you clothing suggestions that look great together, and also link to where to buy them. I will give you feedback once you choose some options, too, and help you pull it all together. You also get access to my client closet and are welcome to borrow any items I have, which I will bring clean and freshly steamed to your session. That is one less thing you have to think about on the day of your photos!

Keepsake Family Films
When you book your family photos with me, you can also add on a family film. These are short videos of your family, your time together, and all the special little interactions that can’t fully be captured in a photo.
