Family Photos at Rowena Crest in Mosier, Oregon
Rowena Crest Family Photos in the Columbia River Gorge
I have a secret: these family photos were not taken ONLY at Rowena Crest! It was actually a mix of two locations, but the other spot is just a few minutes from Rowena Crest. We started at the other spot because it has lots of interesting trees that help to block the sun when it’s higher in the sky. Then we moved up to Rowena Crest for the last 40 minutes and caught the golden sun before it went behind the mountains.
This was the first in a packed weekend full of sessions here in the Columbia River Gorge at the end of April. When it’s wildflower season, you just can’t resist going to the Gorge so I set up a long weekend of sessions. Each family or couple who booked got their own sunset or sunrise with me and it was such a fun experience! I’ll be doing this again yearly during wildflower season, and again in the summer because this landscape is amazing even without the flowers!

Adventure Family Photography in the Wildflowers
These wildflowers in the Columbia River Gorge are in bloom from mid to late April until early to mid May. The timing can change a bit depending on the year but if you go around then, you should see some wildflowers.
First we started at this gorgeous spot in Mosier, Oregon with really interesting trees, wildflowers, and awesome views of The Gorge.

Next, we drove to Rowena Crest, which was less than 10 minutes away. It’s worth it to go to another spot when you have these two choices! The amount of wildflowers here was insane, and it’s probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.
This family was so incredibly sweet together, and so full of love! Enjoy some photos of them cuddling and giggling together.
