Cape Kiwanda Family Maternity Photos in Pacific City
Cape Kiwanda fun maternity family photos with a toddler
If you haven’t gotten the chance to explore Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City, Oregon yet, this is your sign. I love this cute town on the Oregon coast because it’s pretty small and less busy than some of the other larger beach towns. It feels quiet and peaceful.
What makes Cape Kiwanda special?
I love this area because of the super unique rocks on the beach at Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area.
Not only are they fun to look at from a distance, but you can also get close and climb all over them. If you can time your visit right and go at low tide, there are tide pools to explore with sea anemones and sea stars. Make sure to put your ear up to the And as long as the tide is low enough, there’s even a little tunnel to play in.
When I took my kids here during the day, they had a great time climbing the sand dune and running or rolling down. We also hiked to the top and walked all around. They have railings up there so while it does keep you safe, it kind of ruins a lot of photo possibilities. But there are plenty of great spots down below, as you will see during this adorable and fun maternity session I did here in the spring.
How much is the parking?
If you can find parking on the street, then it is totally free to spend the day at this beautiful beach. But if you get a parking spot in the parking lot, then they charge a $10 day use fee.
