After the weather man lied to us and said it would snow here in Portland on Sunday night, my kids were pretty bummed we didn’t get a snow day on Monday. But then the weather man redeemed himself because we ended up with a snow day the next day! You would think it was Christmas morning around here, my kids were so freaking excited. I think it had more to do with the day off school than the actual snow, although they liked that part, too????. I felt the same, way though, because I got to stay home and do a small photography session so… win-win.

They decided to go play in the snow, but I bribed my daughter to go out in a dress first and let me take some photos of her. She got a new LOL doll after, so to her it was totally worth it. Those things are like gold in her eyes!

We had a few dresses to choose from, but I decided on this rust colored Joyfolie dress because I thought it would really pop against the snow. It’s a size 8 and is available to borrow for your next session with me!

I figured it was too cold in just the dress (with leggings and snow boots under), so I grabbed her one of my own cardigans and it totally worked.
