Hopefully, you have decided to hire me because I will spend lots of time researching and finding you the best spots for your photos! I’ll not only look at what landscape is the most photogenic, but I’ll also research what the light is like there, the position of the sun, and figure out the ideal start time based on that. I will also look into any permits that may need to be obtained in order to photograph there, which is something that not everyone realizes is needed. Plus, I’ll figure out how to get there and where to park. If possible, I’ll arrive at the location earlier on the planned day to check it out and make sure everything is looking good. So basically, you don’t have to do anything other than wait for me to show you your options and pick a favorite! 🙂

Capturing your family on film is such a special way to remember your vacation and in my opinion, completely blows photos out of the water in terms of their impact when you see them. First, be sure to plan a low-key day for the day of your session so everyone isn’t completely worn out for your session. Next, listen to your photographer (me) when it comes to wardrobe because everyday clothes don’t always photograph well. I can help you figure it all out so your outfits go with the surroundings and also look amazing. Finally, make sure everyone in your family is on the same page about what to expect and what they need to do.
