A self-paced family photography course where you will:

  • Learn from an in-the-trenches, 6-figure family photographer who rarely works weekends and still runs a profitable, in-demand photography business
  • Build a personality-infused business that runs like clockwork
  • Make more profit with less clients (yes, you read that right!)

This course is 10 years in the making… but it’ll just take you 8 weeks to implement. 😉

Hi! I’m Rebecca Lueck of Becca Jean Photography, and I’ve been running a 6-figure family photographer business for the last 10+ years.

I’ve also taught thousands of fellow photographers how to build a business that’s more fun and more profitable… and less soul-sucking and less time-sucking.

Lifestyle Family photographer course creator, Becca, laughing at the camera

Tell me if this sounds familiar…

(This is the stuff I hear from fellow photographers. all. the. time.)

“I never have enough time… or clients!”

“I’d use social media more, but it’s constantly changing… and it’s so much darn work!”

“I’d love to grow my business, but I don’t want to be ‘salesy’.”

“I’d love to charge more, but then worry no one will book me once I raise my prices.”

“When I do get clients, they’re not ideal clients. They tell me they just chose me because ‘it was the best deal.’”

“There are SO many photographers. Why would a client pick me? I have no clue how to stand out from the competition.”

“I wish I could take weekends off… or even just go on the occasional vacation! But I feel like I’m at the mercy of my clients and their schedules.”

“I’m constantly relying on unsustainable, time-consuming gimmicks, like mini sessions… when really, I wish I could have less clients and more profits.”

“I feel like I spend too little time doing the creative work I love, and way more time selling freaking PRINTS. (Face plam.)”

“I want to build a profitable business that feels like ME — not just another cookie cutter photography business — but I don’t know where to start. All the advice is overwhelming.”

“Can’t I just take great photos and make great money — without all the other tedious business stuff sucking my soul?!”

Sound familiar?

Been there. Done that. Got the tacky t-shirt.

And I’ve come out on the other side (after a decade of running my business).

Fast-forward to today: I teach fellow photographers how to kick all those worries, struggles, and frustrations to the curb…

And instead, embrace a different kind of photography business…

The type of photography business that I can teach you how to create in Family Photography Biz School…

A family photography business that…

Brings you more profit and more free time — at the same time…

Runs seamlessly, almost effortlessly, because you’ve got simple systems set up and you’re leaving less money on the table…

Allows you to work the schedule you want — even if that means never doing a weekend shoot again…

Gives you amazing, invested, dare-I-even-say fun clients that you enjoy working with…

Maintains a low overhead with no need for a studio (and all the extra bills that come with it)…

Creates more space for what matters to you most, whether that be family, friends, travel, volunteering, hobbies, or even just the occasional Netflix binge…

You get the idea.

You can take great photos and make great money — without all the other tedious business stuff sucking your soul…

IF you have the systems and strategies you need to make it happen.

“But Becca, where do I find those things?”

Glad you asked. 😉 That’s what Family Photography Biz School is for.

Why I created Family Photography Biz School:

When I first started my family photography business over a decade ago, there was little to no information online for photographers who wanted to start and grow their businesses, on their terms.

Everything I’ve learned with my business, I’ve learned through trying, testing, and (sometimes) failing. Like one often does. 😂

Today I run a six-figure photography business, I’ve worked with over 1,000 clients, and I’ve been featured prominently in my industry, teaching fellow photographers how to do all of the things I’ve figured out over the years.

And while those early bootstrapping business years were challenging, they’ve allowed me to create a photography business that is wholly refreshing, even unusual, compared to other photography businesses:

  • I don’t rely on ads, yet I don’t exclusively rely on word-of-mouth either. I’ve created a simple marketing system that is effective, but sustainable.
  • I don’t rely on weekend work as a rule, yet I still maintain 6 figures in revenue and a full client load at all times.
  • I don’t rely on print sales for my income, so I don’t constantly feel like I’m in sales mode. I book clients easily, I systematize print sales, and I give myself space to do work I enjoy.
  • I don’t focus on having a high volume of clients, so I don’t need to use strategies like mini sessions. My packages are priced for profitability, so that means less sales, less clients, but more income.

That’s what my business is about today, but I didn’t get there just by willing it so! (I wish!)

Instead, I developed processes and systems that make all those things possible.

(Hint hint: The same processes and systems I teach inside this family photography online course. 😉)

Testimonials:

“I found Becca’s teaching to be extremely useful in giving me the knowledge to take my business to the next level. Her many years of experience in this industry are an incredible resource. I am so happy I decided to work with Becca, it was an inspiring and motivating experience!”

-Lisa M.

Becca is super knowledgeable about the family photography business. Not only is she super experienced, but she is incredibly generous in sharing all she knows. She helped me a ton with updates to my website, SEO, mail lists, automations, marketing and some many other things. The best part is that she is a really cool human and so wonderful to talk to. She never makes you feel like you are asking a stupid question. I highly recommend learning from her.

Here’s how Family Photography Biz School works:

After you enroll in Family Photography Biz School, you get access to the content and can implement everything in two months (though it’s self-paced, so you can go as fast or as slow as you wish!).

It all begins in Module 1…

MODULE 1: Getting started

First thing’s first: Before we overhaul your business, we must first do an assessment of where your business is right now. Enter: The Workflow Triage, my simple process for helping you figure out what’s working, what’s not working, and what will truly need your focus as you go through Family Photography Biz School.

Once you have a clear idea of where you are, then you know where you need to go! And that brings us to…

MODULE 2: Branding Your Business

Logos and slogans and colors, oh my! There are so many decisions to make about how your business shows up and what it looks like. In module 2, we’re going to walk through all of that and more, helping you develop a brand voice and a brand visual guide.

We’ll also help you leverage your own personality to help you stand out from the competition with Memorable Messaging. If you struggle to attract your ideal clients, this module is for you!

MODULE 3: Setting up Your Business

“Legal stuff and bookkeeping stuff is so much fun!” said no photographer ever.😂

BUT the reality? These important steps are crucial to a successful, sustainable, legitimate business. Fortunately, with the Family Photography Biz School, we move through these must-haves fast so you can move on to the good stuff sooner!

MODULE 4: Creating Workflows + Systems

To misquote Elsa from Frozen, “Let it flooooooow… let if flooooow!”

All Disney puns aside, I totally get that “workflows and systems” aren’t the sexiest of topics for a photographer, and navigating how to create these things can feel overwhelming and confusing.

In Module 4, I give you everything you need to streamline and systematize your business, including a gallery workflow, file storage strategies, outsourcing processes, and CRM automations so your business runs like magic. (But like…not ice magic.)

No need to feel like you’re going “into the unknooooown” anymore. (Ok, ok I’ll stop. 😉)

MODULE 5: Optimizing Your Website

While I don’t run ads for my six-figure photography business, I do have something else for me doing all of the heavy lifting: My website!

BUT not just any website — it’s a high converting, search engine optimized website that attracts the clients you want *and repels the clients you don’t).

In Module 5, I walk you through how to do basic SEO set-up to get your website ranking for your desired search terms, then I help you optimize your website so it can sell your photography packages for you. (What’s not to love?!)

MODULE 6: Email Marketing

Once your website is optimized, it’s time to start focusing on growing your email list and building email marketing systems — all things to help you connect with your would-be clients and convert them!

In Module 6, I share with you my proven OPTin System to bring you the best leads for your family photography business. I also show you what to do with those leads once you have them (hint: sell to them, BUT we do it in a way that’s fun, memorable, and easy!).

MODULE 7: Attracting Clients

Ah, sweet Module 7! After the work from the previous modules, you’ve got a business that is set up to receive and convert clients. Now it’s time to actually attract them!

In Module 7, I share with you a few simple strategies to leverage social media, referrals, and SEO to bring in an endless stream of quality clients that will happily pay for your photography packages! But remember: In Family Photography Biz School, the goal is to have more profit and more free time, so this isn’t about a bunch of time-consuming content creation strategies; far from it, we help you to develop a client attraction system that requires minimal maintenance (and maximum profits!).

And that segues delightfully into one of my favorite modules…

MODULE 8: Content Repurposing

The grand finale! Now that you’ve set up your business, and you’re attracting clients, Module 8 gives you a simple strategy — my proprietary OneTwenty Method — to keep those clients coming in consistently without having to live on the content hamster wheel.

If you struggle with constantly feeling like you have to put out new content all the time, this module will make this process easy for you. That way you can focus less on creating content and more on serving your fabulous clients!

That’s just the main content of Family Photography Biz School, BUT on top of all of that, you also get some exciting bonuses (consider this a virtual swag bag 😉)…

The Family Photography Biz School Community

As a fellow photographer, I know how important it is to be among a community of photographers who share a similar mindset and set of goals. That’s why I’ve included this community when you enroll in Family Photography Biz School.

Additionally, the community is your go-to place when you need coaching, feedback, or just a virtual pat on the back. I’m in the group every weekday answering questions, giving feedback, and/or virtual high fives!

Simply put, if you need help while implementing Family Photography Biz School, you’ll find no shortage of that inside Family Photography Biz School Community!

Family photographers

While the systems and methods I teach inside Family Photography Biz School could be valuable for any photographer, this course was specifically created for family photographers, especially those who want more profits and more free time! So, if that’s you, you can rest assured: This program was developed with your business model in mind.

Established photographers

Something I’ve learned after working with so many photographers: Even if you’ve been around for a while, it’s possible you might be missing some important foundational pieces to your business that allow it to truly thrive. Family Photography Biz School is great for established, seasoned veterans who crave more free time, yet still want to maintain a steady stream of clients. We got you!

Beginner photographers

Even if you’re just getting started in professional photography, there’s still plenty of value for you here in this program! In fact, having a strong foundation from the beginning can set you up for more sustainable success in the long run. Therefore, Family Photography Biz School is ideal for family photographers at any experience level. Bring on the beginners! We’re here for you, too.

When does this course start and how long do I have access to it?

Whenever you’re ready! Once you join, you can start this course next week, next month, next year, whenever. Bottom line: it’s self-paced, so you can go as fast or as slow as you wish, and you get lifetime access to the course content. Yay!

Is this course OK for beginners?

Even if you’re just getting started in professional photography, there’s still plenty of value for you here in this program! In fact, having a strong foundation from the beginning can set you up for more sustainable success in the long-run. Therefore, Family Photography Biz School is ideal for family photographers at any experience level. Bring on the beginners! I’m here for you, too.

Does this course work for more advanced, established photographers?

Something I’ve learned after working with so many photographers: Even if you’ve been around for a while, it’s possible you might be missing some important foundational pieces to your business that allow it to truly thrive. Family Photography Biz School is great for established, seasoned veterans who crave more free time, yet still want to maintain a steady stream of clients. I got you!

I struggle with prioritizing in my business. Will this course help me with that?

Absolutely! When you run a family photography business, you probably know all too well that you wear #AllTheHats all the time. Prioritizing your time, energy, and creativity can be a challenge; in Family Photography Biz School, I simplify this for you so you can prioritize what’s most important and plan accordingly.

I don’t want to do in-person sales. Does this course require that?

I don’t like in-person either! And nothing in this course requires you to do in-person sales to see success. (Hooray!)

Instead, I show you how to build a business that is far more sustainable, more profitable, and more… well, fun!

Do I have to have a brick-and-mortar studio?

Nope! Nothing I teach inside Family Photography Biz School requires you to have a brick-and-mortar studio. I don’t have that as part of my business model, and you don’t have to either.

Do I have to do ads to promote my photography business (as part of this course)?

Nope! Ads are fine, but I don’t use them or rely on them for business. Ever. Instead, I rely on more sustainable strategies with a lower overhead and a higher profit margin. (And I cover all of this in great detail inside Family Photography Biz School!)

Is this course only for full-time photographers?

Not at all! If photography for you is more of a part-time pursuit, that will still perfectly align with what I teach inside Family Photography Biz School.

However, If your goal is to go full-time with your photography business, you’ll have everything you need inside Family Photography Biz School to make that possibility a reality!
